Our Impact

For nearly a century, the mission and focus of Florida Hospital has been to improve the quality of life in our community as well as to provide the best healthcare possible.

Generous support keeps The Florida Hospital Cardiovascular Institute on the cutting edge of technology. Thoughtful gifts of all sizes make possible the equipment and research our doctors and scientists need to make the important discoveries today that will help build a healthier tomorrow.

Your Heartfelt Support

Today, more than ever, The Florida Hospital Cardiovascular Institute's programs depend on contributions from our patients and friends. Your gifts can help tremendously in achieving the highest standard of health care. As a not-for-profit hospital, we assure you that the dollars we earn and the decisions we make benefit the people who live within our community.

Thanks to our generous donors, The Florida Hospital Cardiovascular Institute is poised to become the pacesetter in pre-eminent, faith-based cardiovascular care. In addition to our current offerings, our Centennial Campaign - now in progress - will fund a world-class, state-of-the-art healthcare facility at the Orlando campus, which will open in 2008.

Our physicians and staff have made it a priority to fund and develop programs benefiting our patients, but we need your help, too.

Centennial Campaign

Our Centennial Campaign goals for cardiac include:

  • Sterotaxis Niobe® System $3.1 million
    watch a video

  • Cardiovascular Research $1.9 million

Stereotaxis Niobe® System: The system is the first of its kind in the world. Its magnetic navigation system enables medical teams to digitally navigate catheters and devices along the complex paths of the heart - making it minimally invasive. This cutting-edge technology will enable our physicians to complete more complex interventional procedures and enhance the treatment of coronary artery disease and arrhythmias.

Prior to using the Stereotaxis system, physicians had to manually advance a stiff catheter through the heart chamber. The new technology uses an arrangement of magnets positioned outside the patient's body. With the push of a button, the two magnets swing into position on each side of the patient - which creates a magnetic field that directs and digitally controls the interventional device inside the heart. The result: Improved navigation, shorter procedure time and reduced x-ray exposure.

Cardiovascular Research: One of the top cardiac research hospitals, Florida Hospital has impacted medical procedures locally and nationally with its research. Funding is necessary for the revolutionary cardiac research conducted at Florida Hospital. Click here to learn more about the specific research funded by the campaign.

Please call 407-303-2784 for more information on our cardiac programs. The charitable donations we receive enable us to couple this type of innovative technology and pioneering research to deliver the best possible care to our patients.
