George Monir, M.D., F.A.C.C.

After earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from Alexandria University in Egypt, Dr. Monir served his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Alexandria University Hospitals, where he also did his post-graduate work.

After his fellowship in Clinical Cardiology Research at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Monir joined the University of South Florida for his post graduate fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease. At the University of Oklahoma, he completed his fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology and training for ablation of complex arrhythmia and atrial fibrillation.

He has been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac Electrophysiology.

Dr Monir has been a member of Florida Heart Group since 1999 and has served as the co-director of the EP Lab at Florida Hospital since 2000.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Heart Rhythm Society and American College of Physicians.
